6th episode of BLOG FOR NATION - 5th P - PRESS

The fifth ‘P’ is PRESS, to my eyes it includes – print media, news channels, advertising industry and movies off course.
I am going to talk about this in three segments.
First is the print media – post the Delhi incident, it is so happening that the percentile particular type of news printed has increased to enormous levels. Previously where the news of eve teasing and other ghastly events were been showcased sporadically, but suddenly post the Damini incidence it has, like taken the print media by storm, out of the blue all the cases of molestation or abusing and so on and so forth have been brought to surface and from all the part of country – and it has became the latest ‘in thing’ for print media to boost their circulations. (Bloody Business) To show off their care and concern, they have jumped in with all kind of emotional statements and creativity of their own. – meanwhile just to mention none of the main stream personality from this segment had taken that one step ahead to make people aware about what is happening actually. Till date I have not red any news in a big way and for sustainable period in print media, of a victim being penalized.
Second is the advertising industry - Can you imagine, an advertise of biscuit be made in a way where a couple is performing foreplay???, Can you imagine, a house / property or a car, be sold just by showing a few nudies…??? Or for that matter a soap or a chocolate or a moisturizing lotion – believe me readers its true, in every possible way the advertising industry have contributed to corrupt the mindsets of views just to catch the eye of them. I am sure you must have experienced parents changing the channel in a break between the serials or a show, and if you are one you must have done that.
Third is the film industry – The plots, the positioning of characters, the ITEM songs and the forced B- grade humor has literally killed the sense of respect toward the fair sex and given indicated that one may behave the way they want – there is not much price to be paid if at all you get caught. I had asked a child if given a chance, what you would like to be in a film a hero or a villain, and his reply was “I would like to be a villain” – and up on asking why – the reason given by a small kid of today’s generation explains it all, he said, “A villain does everything he wants during his life time and the hero fight out the villain in the end. After all those enjoyments – it’s ok to get beaten for about 15 mins – that’s fine with me.” – He smiled sarcastically and went away.  This is not the end the biggest culprit is the current trends of songs – the lyrics, the rhythm and worst part is the cinematography.
All these things together leads a person to visualize, their own Munnis or Sheelas and Chamelis, etc., in their surrounding in a day to day females whom they comes across – rest is all what we are aware about.
Can't these three disciplines take an oath, like say for next one year – we will print all the good or bad happenings in only positive manner or we will show our creativity in advertising and not OTHER THING or we will not make any ITEM song for this full year or we will create movies that actually contributes to the society? – I think they should be forced to do so…. At least I feel that, what’s your opinion on this?

5th episode of BLOG FOR NATION - 4th P - PARLIAMENT.

I was waiting for today to share with you the fourth P of the seven Ps that is ‘PARLIAMENT’ – exactly by few hours from now in 1947 our great nation was affirmed free and the word PARLIAMENT came in to existence and action for the world’s biggest democratic country.
When I had an opportunity to meet Honorable Shankardayal Sharma (former President of India) and Respected Mr. Nelson Mandela (Chief guest for the republic day in 1995) in person at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi (As I was a proud Sr. Under Officer of N.C.C., Gujarat, and a participant of Republican day pared on 26th Jan 1995) – I had totally different image of Nation and the PARLIAMENT.
Over this 18 years, the image has changed drastically and the final nail in the coffin was hammered by the response of parliamentarians towards what has happened in Delhi with Damini – time has gone by and the verdict is just around (May be) – still, without stretching it long I fully agree to the words of Honorable Pranob Mukharjee (Pres. Of India) – who quoted in his address to the nation today that, “Now is the time that all the parliamentarians need to regain the trust, confidence and honor from the public of India back.” – So that even a lay men like me feels worthwhile to use prefix like “Honorable” before their names. – that’s it for today and this section – JAY HIND.

4th episode of BLOG FOR NATIONS - The 3rd P

Today is the day when I will be talking about the third P – that is PROSECUTION. As we have been hearing, pilling of unresolved cases in the court of law and there has to be some way out, and what not, about the justice in India, throughout last year and from years. There are hundreds and thousands of vacancies still waiting to be filled in the position of judges and other responsible places in our country. Once the case is filled in a court of law the victim feels like the criminal and the other side feels like heaven on earth – everything is crystal clear and still these creatures, called victims, move around in society shamelessly – we need to show some respect to the people who have formed the rules and regulations of our country and also should try and abide to it.
Just by talking about fast track court will not solve the purpose, it should come in to existence immediately – Not only that the line of action and way of treatment with the probable criminal while the hearing is on and as long as the case comes to an end also should be defined and it should be such that before any other penalty the accused person should get sensitized about the unlawful thing that he has done.  (We on the other end are known to take real great care of our guests of law – take Kasab for example)
So, in a nutshell the process of law and proving things right or wrong should be defined in much better way with keeping in mind many other dimensions like – pre decided time frame can be charted out for the types of case, before/ during and post case treatment to both the parties can also be defined and documented and last but not the list – rather than thinking that “it’s alright if 100 criminals are speared, but one innocent should not be penalized”  - Probably this is the time where this philosophy(or the sentence) need a small change as follows… “ ENSURE THAT THE INNOCENT SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED, BUT ITS TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE IF EVEN ONE CRIMINAL GET SPARED.”

3rd blog of the series - BLOG FOR NATION - THE 2ndP

The second P is the Policemen – or the Police Department as a whole: Obliviously there are things that can be considered as a limitation when it comes to performing the duties, or observing their rights and the kind of very limited facilities that they are getting and the kind of compromises they have to make. We all would agree that the situation at the grass root level in this particular segment is pitiable. Still, when such kind of incidences or situations comes up (Ref. recent gang rape in Delhi) I believe the police should act as immediately as possible, without any pressure or any kind of prefixed mindset. Secondly they should not practice any type of favor ism while dealing with such situations, because these incidences are totally callous. So they should be very prompt and straight while deciding or acting on such cases. They should consider the fact that police is there to take side of the victim and to provide the due treatment to the criminals.
Gradually the circumstances have been created to a level where day to day public is more afraid of police then the criminals.
By doing the above suggested changes in operations, possibly the police department will be able to establish a better control and preferred law and order situation. And they will be able to take a step towards synergy with the society.

Let’s talk today about the first ‘P’ – that stands for PARENTS, when I say parents I would wish to include the primary teachers also, because the first parents are the one who gives us birth and the second are the one from where we start getting our initial education.  I would wish if both these set of parents can address or can abreast child about what is happening around, and also consciously imbibe the actual culture of INDIA from the early childhood days – this can create a lot of difference. When I say this I mean, the real culture which has been now a day’s replaced with so many other things like, exposing them to latest fashion or fulfilling their undue demands. In run of versatile bringing up of a child we are somewhere missing on the basic value system’s exposure to the child.
This should happen without any gender bias – it should not be the case where only the girl child should be kept alert or under continuous supervision but the male child also should be made aware of the consequences of wrong deeds to the society or to any person.
When I say all this I don’t mean to say that from the day one the child should be made aware of what has happened in Delhi with Lt. Damini – but just as we give them the basic education like A,B and C – 1,2 and 3, these kind of wrong things and what is correct way of living should also be brought to their knowledge step by step.
By doing this consciously we will surely be able to create a strong much stable and understanding future members of the society – which we can be proud of.

BLOG FOR NATION - A MUST READ SERIES FOR EVERY INDIAN

Hi! Good morning and “VANDE MATARAM” ….
2012 has just gone by and its 2013 now, on the onset of 2013 I was going through all the good and bad incidences which has happened in India in 2012. Now there was only one thing which has, you know, shaken up whole India, where this is probably the only country proudly posses a prefix of ‘MOTHER’ before nation and we call it “MOTHER NATION”. Keeping this in mind, totally anti-nodal events are happening and coming on surface in the days just gone by.  – Yes I am referring to ‘the demise of Damini - a Delhi Disaster…’
So, I have come up with some suggestions as to what are the changes required to better the environment. I would be great full to all of you if you can read this blog completely, reflect on the same and share it as much as you can.
There are high possibilities, that if we share this blog as much as possible we may create a big group of contributors for protecting culture and the livelihood of the country.  As you all must be aware that last few weeks have raised a big question mark on the environment and culture of the nation.
In this series of blog I will be talking about 7Ps which needs a little bit of rectification consciously to have a big impact to reduce such a big personal or national disasters.
The 7Ps are….
  1. PARENTS
  2. POLICE
  3. PROSECUTION
  4. PARLIAMENT
  5. PRESS
  6. PEOPLE
  7. PERSONAL ATTITUDE

I will be writing my views about all the above 7Ps and mean while you may please also share your feelings which I would try and incorporate in specific ‘P’ as and when I will publish my blog. – I will be publishing this series of blogs every alternate day.

Hope to get the best of response from all of you in my first serious venture in 2013 on blog for the Nation.
