The second P is the Policemen – or the Police Department as a whole:
Obliviously there are things that can be considered as a limitation when it
comes to performing the duties, or observing their rights and the kind of very limited
facilities that they are getting and the kind of compromises they have to make.
We all would agree that the situation at the grass root level in this
particular segment is pitiable. Still, when such kind of incidences or
situations comes up (Ref. recent gang rape in Delhi) I believe the police
should act as immediately as possible, without any pressure or any kind of prefixed
mindset. Secondly they should not practice any type of favor ism while dealing
with such situations, because these incidences are totally callous. So they
should be very prompt and straight while deciding or acting on such cases. They
should consider the fact that police is there to take side of the victim and to
provide the due treatment to the criminals.
Gradually the circumstances have been created to a level where day to day
public is more afraid of police then the criminals.
By doing the above suggested changes in operations, possibly the police
department will be able to establish a better control and preferred law and
order situation. And they will be able to take a step towards synergy with the
society.
When Damini can be sent to Singapore for treatment then why cant the accused be sent to Saudi Arabia for punishment.......
